Camping at Lawson's Landing

Lawson's Landing is a fishing and boating resort and campground at the mouth of Tomales Bay. Campsites are available year-round for RV or tents. There are no hook-ups.

Resort Facilities: Marina, boat launch, boat repairs, and beach.

Campground Facilities: Water, picnic tables, fire rings, portable toilets including ADA accessible, RV waste stations, Boathouse selling drinks, ice, wood, snacks, and fishing and camping supplies.

Campgrounds

  • Meadow Campground - inland along the road from Dillon Beach, about 170 sites, divided into areas M, N, O, and P.
  • Pier Campground - located between rows of permanent trailer homes, close to pier and bait shop, 23 sites
  • Seawall Campground - waterfront sites in area W. Area X is set back from the water. All sites are close to pier and clamming areas.

Sonoma Coast State Park

Sonoma Coast State Park extends along the coast adjacent to Highway 1 from Bodega Bay to beyond the Russian River and Jenner. The park contains a variety of attractions such as Bodega Head, Goat Rock, Duncan's Landing, tide pools, and Salmon Creek Beach. The park has 2 standard campgrounds. There are no RV hook-ups.

  • Located mid-way between Bodega Bay and Jenner
  • 27 campsites adjacent to the beach, maximum trailer length 27 feet
  • Premium sites located closest to the ocean.

  • Overflow area for self-contained RVs

Samuel P. Taylor State Park Camping

Samuel P. Taylor Park is located 15 miles west of San Rafael on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. The park has wooded countryside in the steep rolling hills with groves of redwoods and open grasslands.

  • Of the family sites, 29 are standard sites, 22 are tent-only
  • Reservations required during peak seasons for regular sites and year-round for group sites.
  • Maximum occupancy for standard campsites is 6 persons.
